ARSENAL da marinha SQUARE

The square was designed by the landscaper Roberto Burle Marx and there are several Imperial Palm trees, besides it has a beautiful source. In the surroundings it is possible to observe in the northside the Captaincy of the Ports, on the east side the Malakof Tower (Built in the 19th century to serve as an astronomical observatory), to the south it is possible to observe the Paço do Frevo (One of the main museums of the city of Recife, which alludes to the frevo a typical sande from Pernambuco), in the West Zone, of the square, is the Tourist Service Center and the Pernambuco Embassy (Museum of wax dolls).
