The chapel, under the invocation of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, dates back to the beginning of the 18th century, when the owner of those lands was Captain Henrique Martins. The Jaqueira Chapel is a Baroque building. Its interior is decorated with rare tiles, in the same style as the tiles of the Carmelite and Franciscan convents. Some remarkable sacred panels, of traces and strong colors, which time could not erase, can be appreciated. It is also possible to observe two great oil portraits, on wood, representing Santo Antônio and San Henrique, as well as São João Batista and São Filipe Nery. The temple altar is baroque, although it presents some motifs in rococo style.
