For more than 40 years, Das Pás Club has been promoting six big parties in its annual calendar, always on the last Saturdays of the month: Hawaii Night (pre-carnival week), Birthday Ball (March), Rose Ball (May) , Gypsy Dancing (August), Spring Dance (September) and Halloween Night (October).
At each of these six themed festivities, the Das Pás Clubgoers are invited to dress according to the ball theme. For example, on August last Saturday, the hall is filled with gypsies, with their colorful clothes and many gold jewelry.
Today, the most traditional North-Northeast gafieira space is no longer an exclusive meeting place for the seniors citizen, now it gathers young people from different age groups and social levels, not only from Pernambuco but also from other states. “As the Recife most democratic dance space, Das Pás Club has become a tourist attraction for the dance lovers from here and several other cities in Brazil,” says President Rinaldo Lima.
