Sagrado Coração de Jesus Basilica
In baroque eighteenth century style, it was built in te 1726 to 1782 period. The imposing frontage stands out in the courtyard and the nave is in octagonal format. The liner painting is considered the Pernambuco baroque painting masterpiece. In the courtyard where it is located, there are the city cultural facilities. The place is also a pole of important popular manifestations, such as carnival, holy week, Saint john and afro tradition groups meetings.
