The Museum of Nuclear Sciences is a museum in the area of science that provides visitors with knowledge about nuclear radiation and its applications in the area of electricity generation, applications in the field of industry and medicine. The Museum is a pioneer in the country in the divulgation of nuclear energy and its applications. This Museum was made to stimulate curiosity about the nuclear area with a form of formal learning. The space has an area of 1000m2, composed by an outdoor garden, two rooms of projection and a room of support.
The museograph project in its internal part has the same space of information on electricity generation, radiation protection, radiation applications in medicine and industry and models of a nuclear power plant, reactor vessel and fuel element are displayed next to models of nuclear medicine, radiotherapy and radiation use for material sterilization and mineral gem coloring in addition to an exhibition of electricity experiments, hologram.
