Designed by italian architect Giácomo Palumbo, the court was inaugurated in 1930, in neoclassic monumental style. The inner part of the building has got marble stairs and stained glass designed by german artist Heinrich Moster at the back part, representing the first Escabino´s assembly, made during dutch period by Mauricio de Nassau, governor in Dutch period in Brazil.
