Located in the Pina Neighborhood, it was the first South Zone of the city theater , that received the name of the actor Jose odo Rego Barreto Júnior. The space is a remnant of the Cine-Atlântico, which resisted the demolitions and closings that many cinemas in Recife passed in the early 80’s. The façade is still the same as its original style, preserved until 1985, when restoration works began . It receives throughout the year shows of the Performing Arts from everywhere in Country and international and is one of the city places where the biggest Festivals of this language takes place.
