The Pernambuco Amateurs Theater , theater group whose headquarters is the Valdemar de Oliveira Theater, has been keeping alive the flame of the Pernambuco theater, since 1941, trailing the most diverse paths that went from the academicism to those of theatrical experimentation, during 76 years it has acted in the Recife scene, thus contributing to its dynamism and its progress. In this process, it also seeks to add new values, new talents that greatly enrich their creative experiences.
The Pernambuco Amateurs Theater, as a stable group, was also countersigned by critics and thinkers of the Brazilian theater, such as Sábato Magaldi, Décio de Almeida Prado (in São Paulo) Yan michalski (in Rio de Janeiro), and many others local critics, who have punctuated along their trajectory, their esthetic importance in the Brazilian theater framework.
