The Recife de Coração nos Bairros arrives this Sunday (23), at Caiara Park, in the Iputinga neighborhood, and will serve all neighborhoods and communities around it. Recife City Hall, through the Secretariat of Tourism, Sports and Leisure, prepared a great program in place. The event runs from 2 pm to 7 pm and is open to the public.
On the stage of the event the shows start early in the afternoon. The attractions are Belo Xis and Piu do Cavaco that are members of the community, the Orchestra Edson Rodrigues and the Surreal Orchestra, closing the program; Also Dançando na Rua nos Bairros, project of the dancer Andrea Carvalho with presentations of dance groups from Recife.
There are many options for the children. There will be a climbing wall, human slingshot, trampoline and giant toboggan, as well as a kite shop offered in partnership with Uninassau. The sports center also works for the kids but it is open to all, including it has activities for people with disabilities. The Caiara has a natural vocation for sports and thus, the people from Recife can play handball, volleyball, basketball, mini-football, badminton, tennis, football, foottennis, skateboard and slackline.
One of the main characteristics of Recife de Coração nos Bairros is the integration among several secretariats in order to take actions relevant to the community that receives the event. At the health and welfare center, the Women’s Secretariat will be working out awareness to combat gender violence; the Secretariat for Sustainable Development and the Environment will hold various workshops on sustainability and the Secretariat for Social Development and Youth, policy on Drugs and Human Rights will guide participants on drug abuse.
The Secretariat of Health, as it is traditional, takes several free services in one place, to attend the participants. Mammography screening, information on breast and cervical cancer, blood pressure measurement, blood glucose testing, Influenza and Viral Triple Vaccination, oral health guidance and distribution of toothbrush and toothpaste kits and as well as distribution of male and female condoms.
